THE MALE MODEL CHRONICLES ~ Christi Snow's triple reveal

I'm delighted to help Christi Snow reveal the three gorgeous covers for here upcoming series, The Male Model Chronicles. Christi Snow is a remarkably talented writer of steamy romance with intense story lines, however I'd buy these books just to look at these covers. Yummy!

Introducing a new fictional series, built around the real-life world of Kruse Images & Photography and the gorgeous male models that Shauna Kruse gets to immortalize in her photos. The heroes are real people who also happen to be male models, but every single other thing about the series is fiction.

Justin by Christi Snow
releasing January 21, 2015

The Model: Justin James Cadwell
The Photographer: Kruse Images & Photography

Justin…
Tara Malone is having one of those lives. Born to Oscar award-winning actor, Anthony Malone, and model-famous beauty, Veronica Scott, she should have it made. But her curvy figure and out-of-control frizzy red hair are just the start of her many, many issues. Now to make matters worse, she’s started out her week by running over model, Justin James, with her car. She had a lot of fantasies about the cover model, but never did any of them include vehicular assault.

Justin James doesn’t have time for two broken wrists, but neither does his over-achieving family. He can’t open up his fridge or unzip his fly without excruciating pain and no one else has the time to help him. Tara already shot him down at the accident scene, but maybe he can work this so that the curvy bombshell has a reason to hang around for a bit. He’s not above using guilt if it means he gets to know her better.

The first in a new series of novellas inspired by Shauna Kruse’s photography and her beautiful male models.

Lance by Christi Snow
coming Spring/Summer, 2015

The Model: Lance Jones
The Photographer: Kruse Images & Photography

Lance…
As the owner and CEO of Lancer Industries, Matthew Lancer spends his days in three piece suits and conducting meetings that affect the world financial markets. What the world doesn’t know is that Matthew Lancer has a deep, dark secret. He’s actually super-hot, super-sexy, and covered in tattoos. When he can, he spends his free time letting loose as bad-boy male model, Lance Jones. No one knows and it has to stay that way or Lance will lose the one thing that’s keeping his high pressure life sane.

Andi Kelly writes erotic romance. Day in and day out, she imagines a world filled with bondage, multiple partners, and just a few whips and chains. But that’s the fantasy life in her novels. In the real world, she’s an introvert who spends her days at home living out her fantasies through her laptop. Andi’s finally worked up the courage to ask Shauna Kruse if she can sit in on the photoshoot for Andi’s next novel…with her model-crush, Lance Jones.

But Lancer Industries has a mole and it’s put both Andi and Lance in danger. Lance’s two worlds collide and when corporate espionage meets erotic romance, there’s no telling what might happen.

The second in a new series of novellas inspired by Shauna Kruse’s photography and her beautiful male models.

Joshua by Christi Snow
coming Fall, 2015

The Model: Joshua Scott Brown
The Photographer: Kruse Images & Photography

Joshua…

December is the time for romance, twinkling lights, and roaring fires in the fireplace. It’s also time for the annual Holiday Fantasy Lingerie show. This year, the show has a masculine twist with the introduction of male models who were once soldiers.

Joshua Scott Brown has made quite a name for himself as a male fitness model since he got out of the Air Force. But nothing prepares him for the media circus that occurs after he catches one of the female lingerie models during the live show, preventing her from a ten foot fall. Now the lingerie company wants to turn that media coverage into holiday profit by pairing him up romantically with the model. Unfortunately, he only has eyes for Autumn Layne, the publicist who keeps pushing him into another woman’s arms.

The third in a new series of novellas inspired by Shauna Kruse’s photography and her beautiful male models.

About the author:

As an avid reader her entire life, Christi Snow always dreamed of writing books that brought to others the kind of joy she felt when she read. But...she never did anything about it besides jot down a few ideas and sparse scenes.

When she turned 41, she decided it was time to go after her dream and started writing. Within four months, she'd written over 150,000 words and hasn't stopped since.

She's found her calling by writing about sexy, alpha heroes and smart, tough heroines falling in love and finding their passion. She's truly living the dream and loving every minute of it.

Her tagline is... Passion and adventure on the road to Happily Ever After. She's loving this adventure!

About the cover designer:
Because of the nature of the series, the cover designer also happens to be one of the models...Joshua Scott Brown. (His book will be the third in the series.) Joshua's graphic design business, JSB Graphic Design, is still getting off the ground, but he's been wonderful to work with. Always professional, always positive, and extremely talented...

A note from the author...Where did the series come from?

I follow a very talented photographer on Facebook, Shauna Kruse of Kruse Images & Photography. Just about two months ago, she posted a photo of Justin James Cadwell, stating that this gorgeous model had yet to be contracted for his first cover. That sent my writing muse into frenetic action and two weeks later, Justin was written and this series was born.

Series details: Male Model Chronicles…

The Series Order (although every installment is a complete stand-alone work):
  •       Justin (Justin James Cadwell)
  •       Lance (Lance Jones)
  •      Joshua (Joshua Scott Brown)
This series is a whole new venue for me as a writer. The stories are generally contemporary romance although Lance will delve a bit into my more normal romantic suspense arena....and they're shorter. Most the stories will run about 30-35,000 words. They are meant to be fun and entertaining...and Shauna will make an appearance in each story.

While the names (the male models and Shauna only) used in the stories signify real people, the stories are completely fictional. They in no way reflect true events, incidences, or beliefs by these people in real life. Besides the names, everything else is from the author’s imagination and should be taken as such.

And the source for ALL of the inspiration for the series...

30 SECONDS by Chrys Fey

Welcome back to my beach Chrys! You may want to leave your sweater on and stay in the sand today. It’s a little nippy this time of year. I’ve brought a thermos of coffee…with Kahlua.

Hi, Sandra! Thanks for welcoming me back to your beach. This is my favorite vacation spot. Pass me that thermos! ;)

I had the pleasure of hosting you when you released your first novella, HURRICANE CRIMES. This time, hurricane season is over and you’ve released 30 SECONDS. Did you make any changes in the way you planned, plotted, or in general wrote this new story?

I usually plot every story the same way. Whenever I get a story idea, I write down as much as I can about it, including dialogue. Then I create a list of all the plot events from beginning to end. As I write, I may change things up if I get new ideas or if my characters tell me to do something else.

What did you learn from your first experience with publishing? Was there anything that really surprised you?

I learned a lot about marketing and have a few methods on how to do it, which is always helpful as you move forward. I didn’t really have any surprises, though, because I learned early on that my publishing expectations wouldn’t be reality. I would not get a movie deal, have a hundred reviews instantly, or make it as a best seller. I’m working toward those goals. ;)

Tell us a little about 30 SECONDS.

When Officer Blake Herro agreed to go undercover in the Mob, he thought he understood the risks. But he's made mistakes and now an innocent woman has become their target. He's determined to protect her at all costs.

The Mob's death threat turns Dr. Dani Hart's life upside down, but there is one danger she doesn't anticipate. As she's dodging bullets, she's falling in love with Blake. With danger all around them, will she and Blake survive and have a happy ending, or will the Mob make good on their threat?

It sounds just as action packed as HURRICANE CRIMES. Does Dani know from the start that Blake is undercover?

Basically the minute she meets Blake she learns he’s undercover, and the story is about the aftermath of him being undercover in the Mob.

How did they meet?

Well, their first encounter happens when Dani literally runs into him on the staircase. The second encounter, which happens a moment later, happens when Blake practically tackles her into her apartment.

To put a picture in our minds, who would you say are Blake and Dani’s celebrity look-alikes?

I always said Blake reminded me of Paul Walker (RIP) and Rachelle Lefevre would make a great Dani.

What is Dani’s first impression of Blake?

She thinks he’s a stalker, or at least going to rob her blind, which is understandable when a man grabs you and puts a hand over your mouth.

What is his first impression of her?

He viewed her as a woman in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Give us an example of what’s between the pages.

She panted with fear. What if they see the chest? What if we get caught? What if my breath stinks and I’m breathing right into Officer Hottie’s face? She shut her mouth and let oxygen flow through her nose.
Her eyesight slowly adjusted to the darkness and she could see Officer Herro’s silhouette. His head was turned and he was listening to the thuds of heavy boots getting louder; the intruders were coming their way.
Then the thunder of footsteps sounded right next to them. “There’s no one here, Red,” someone announced.
“Look for documents,” a man ordered, who Dani could only assume was Red. “I want the name of the person I’m going to kill.”
A moment later, there was a reply. “All the mail is addressed to a Dr. Hart.”
Hearing her name said aloud by one of the men who had ransacked her place made her want to gasp. Her mouth fell open and her breath was reversing into her lungs, but before she could make a sound, Officer Herro lowered his lips to hers, silencing her. Stunned, she could only lie beneath him with her eyes wide and her body tense. She couldn’t believe he was kissing her. She wanted to push him back, but knew if she did he might hit the inside of the chest, giving away their hiding place. That was when she realized he was kissing her so she wouldn’t gasp.
She let her body relax. After her initial shock faded, she was able to feel his lips. They were comforting and caused a reaction deep inside her. She couldn’t stop her lips from reacting to his. It was an innocent connection, a soft touch of lips. Until his hand slid from her shoulder to her neck and the kiss deepened into something else.

It sounds excellent. How can we find it?

There’s no way you can stay away from the keyboard now. What do you have in store for us next?

I am working on the sequel to Hurricane Crimes as well as the prequel to 30 Seconds that follows Blake in the Mob. I also hope to publish two paranormal short stories early next year: “Witch of Death” and “Ghost of Death.”

How does your family feel about having a published author in their midst?

I’m not actually sure how my family feels. They don’t ever mention my publishing or read my work. I do hope they are proud, though.

What is the first book you remember reading for pleasure?

Oh, gosh! I don’t know! The first romance book I ever read was “Once in a Lifetime” by Danielle Steel. I didn’t really enjoy reading until I was in sixth grade, so I guess I’d say “So You Want to Be a Wizard” by Diane Duane.

I’ll throw out a few genres. Tell us who your favorite authors are in each; 1- Romance, 2- Historical, 3- Mystery, 4- Paranormal.

Romance – Nora Roberts
Historical – Pearl S. Buck
Mystery – Sandra Brown
Paranormal – Crystal Collier

Now I feel like we know you a little better. Where can we find you on the internet?

It’s been great having you back. I hope you’ll stick around for the visitors that may come by.

Thank you so much for having me here again, Sandra. I will definitely stick around. :)

In Loving Memory

The day I made the choice to raise my hand and give myself to the military I was filled with a sense of pride and anticipation. It didn't cross my mind that my mother would feel anything other than pride, as well. I was, after all, an adult.

Years later, I found myself sitting alongside a parade field watching my son march in formation, wearing the uniform. This time the pride was accompanied by apprehension. The child I'd nurtured and protected all his life had taken up the mantle and placed himself in harm’s way to protect the nation. But I was one of the lucky ones.

When the ultimate sacrifice is made our heart is forever broken. We realize the choice was never ours. Our child was, after all, an adult and proud to serve.

My second cousin Misty and I connected on Facebook a few years ago. Her mother and I had been close, growing up. It was nice to see what a wonderful family she had and how close they were. Then one day two years ago Misty announced that her son Michael had made the decision to enter the Marine Corp.
Sadly, she lost him last month.

Misty is not yet a professional writer, but she loves poetry and has written a poem to her son.
With her permission, I'd like to share it with all of you in his honor.

For Michael

What I wouldn't give to hold his hand,
that young, and brave, courageous man
who gave his life to the proud and the few,
those who sacrifice all, to do what they do.
Though he lay in silence, there is much to be said
for the lives he's touched and the tears now shed.
This young man of twenty-one,
who laid down his life to pick up a gun,
to join the ranks of the U. S. Marines,
the meanest and bravest of the fighting machines.
Though, in him, there was so much more,
a goodness and kindness to his very core.
An infectious laugh and a beautiful grin.
A loyal friend, was this man among men.
A loving son, a dutiful brother,
he'd give his last to help another.
Quick to love and slow to anger,
Michael never met a stranger.
And if ever he thought he may be at fault
and hurt another, then always he sought
their accepting forgiveness with a heartfelt plea,
the first to extend an apology.
We will miss his hugs, his humor, his encompassing laughter.
Until we meet again son, in that great here after ~

Misty Tuttle
